BIO

My name is Molly Jean Stanton and I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. I have training in Ballet, Jazz, and Tap since the age of three. Since then, under the instruction of Heidi Glynias, Lisa Lock, Jen O'Connor, Lisa Wilhelm, Douglas Burkhardt, Sean Howe, Cathi Feeny, and Jill Haller, I have discovered the styles of Contemporary, Modern, Lyrical, Hip Hop, and Musical Theatre, and I fell in love with them all. At Magnificat High School, I took a Choreography I class, in which I studied different choreography techniques. Since then I have been able to create three ensemble pieces, "Acrylics," "Bang My Head," and "Move Your Body" and ten plus solos for the Magnificat High School Dance Team. In addition to working for Magnificat High School, I have recently worked with the AmeriDance Company as a Summer Staff Instructor and as a Summer Instructor at the Lisa Wilhelm Academy of Dance, located in Rocky River, Ohio. Currently, I am an apprentice and instructor for TruTek Dance Company, a professional non-profit dance company in Avon, Ohio. This summer (2019) I will also be the head choreographer and director for the Lake Erie Crushers professional dance team. My goal is continue to bring my love of choreography and dance to others. I am currently pursuing a dual degree in Dance and Arts Management at The Ohio State University.
